1. About Achieve Educational Coaching
Achieve Educational Coaching provides one-to-one educational and personal development coaching to support clients with areas such as organisation, motivation, confidence, goal setting, study habits, time management and managing feelings of overwhelm.
Coaching is a collaborative process. The coach provides support, questions, strategies and tools to help the client identify their own goals and develop practical ways forward.
Coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy, medical treatment, tutoring or academic assessment. Achieve Educational Coaching does not diagnose or treat ADHD, mental health conditions or other medical conditions.
Where a client requires specialist medical, psychological, therapeutic, educational or safeguarding support, they may be encouraged to seek help from an appropriate qualified professional or service.
2. Coaching Relationship
Coaching works best when the client actively participates in the process.
The coach will provide a supportive, respectful and non-judgemental environment and will work with the client to agree appropriate goals and actions.
The student remains responsible for their own decisions, actions and outcomes. Achieve Educational Coaching cannot guarantee a particular academic, personal or educational outcome.
3. Students Under 18
Where the client is under 18, appropriate consent from a parent or legal guardian must be obtained before coaching begins.
Parents/guardians may be involved in agreeing the coaching arrangements and reviewing progress where appropriate.
However, clients should be given an appropriate level of privacy within the coaching relationship. The coach will explain to the student and parent/guardian what information can remain confidential and the circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be broken.
If the coach has concerns about a client’s safety or wellbeing, information may need to be shared with a parent/guardian or an appropriate professional or organisation.
4. Confidentiality
Information shared during coaching sessions will normally be treated as confidential.
Confidentiality may be limited where:
· There is a concern about the client’s safety or the safety of another person.
· There is a safeguarding concern.
· Disclosure is required by law.
· Information is required by an appropriate professional or authority in circumstances where disclosure is legally permitted or required.
· The client gives permission for specific information to be shared.
Where possible, the student will be informed before information is shared.
5. Parent and Guardian Communication
Where a parent or guardian is paying for coaching, Achieve Educational Coaching may provide general updates regarding attendance, engagement and progress.
The coach will not normally disclose the detailed content of a client’s coaching conversations without the student’s permission, except where safeguarding, safety or legal requirements apply.
The level of communication with parents/guardians will be agreed at the beginning of the coaching relationship.
6. Appointments
Coaching sessions will be arranged at mutually agreed times.
Sessions will take place online via Zoom or Teams arranged prior to the sessions or in another agreed setting if geographically appropriate.
The client is expected to attend sessions on time and be prepared to participate.
If a client arrives late, the session will normally finish at the originally agreed time. This means the coaching time available may be reduced.
7. Cancellation and Rearrangement
If a session needs to be cancelled or rearranged, as much notice as possible should be provided.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice is given, the session may normally be rearranged without additional charge.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, or a client does not attend a scheduled session, the session may be treated as used and may not be refundable.
Exceptions may be considered where there are genuine exceptional circumstances.
Achieve Educational Coaching reserves the right to cancel or rearrange a session where necessary. Where this happens, an alternative appointment will be offered.
8. Fees and Payment
All prices will be clearly communicated before a coaching package is purchased.
Payment must be made in accordance with the payment arrangements agreed at the time of booking.
Where a package is purchased, payment is required in full before the first session or according to an agreed payment plan.
Coaching sessions will not begin until the agreed payment has been received.
9. Coaching Packages
Coaching packages are designed to provide structured support over a specified number of sessions.
Packages are normally intended to be used within the agreed period. If sessions cannot be completed within this period, an extension may be agreed at the discretion of Achieve Educational Coaching.
Coaching packages are personal to the student and cannot normally be transferred to another person.
10. Communication Between Sessions
Where a coaching package includes email, messaging or other check-ins between sessions, these are intended for coaching support and accountability.
They are not an emergency or crisis service and should not be used where immediate professional or medical support is required
The coach will respond to messages within the agreed working hours where reasonably possible.
11. Safeguarding and Safety
Achieve Educational Coaching takes the safety and wellbeing of clients seriously.
If information shared during coaching raises a safeguarding or serious safety concern, the coach may need to take appropriate action and share relevant information with a parent/guardian, safeguarding professional, emergency service or other appropriate organisation.
The client’s safety will take priority over confidentiality in these circumstances.
12. Coaching Boundaries
Achieve Educational Coaching does not provide
· Medical diagnosis or treatment
· Mental health diagnosis or treatment
· Counselling or psychotherapy
· Crisis intervention
· Emergency support
· Prescribing or medication advice
· Formal educational assessments
· Guaranteed academic results
Where appropriate, clients may be encouraged to seek additional support from their GP, school, college, university, counsellor, psychologist or another suitably qualified professional.
13. Online Coaching
Where coaching is provided online, the student is responsible for ensuring they have access to a suitable device, internet connection and a private environment where they can participate comfortably.
Achieve Educational Coaching will take reasonable steps to protect the privacy and security of online sessions
However, no online communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure
14. Recording of Sessions
Coaching sessions will not be recorded unless this has been specifically discussed and agreed in advance.
If a session is recorded, the purpose of the recording and how it will be stored and used will be explained before recording takes place.
15. Data Protection and Privacy
Achieve Educational Coaching will collect and process personal information only for legitimate purposes connected with providing the coaching service, managing appointments, communicating with clients and meeting legal or safeguarding responsibilities
Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

16. Intellectual Property and Coaching Materials
Any worksheets, templates, resources or materials provided by Achieve Educational Coaching are intended for the personal use of the student.
They must not be copied, reproduced, sold, distributed or commercially used without prior written permission.
17. Respectful Behaviour
Achieve Educational Coaching aims to provide a respectful and supportive environment.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour towards the coach will not be accepted.
Where serious or repeated inappropriate behaviour occurs, Achieve Educational Coaching may end the coaching relationship.
18. Ending the Coaching Relationship
Either the student/client or Achieve Educational Coaching may end the coaching relationship.
Where possible, reasonable notice should be given.
Any outstanding payments or applicable cancellation charges will remain payable in accordance with the agreed terms.
Achieve Educational Coaching may end the relationship immediately where there are serious concerns relating to safety, safeguarding, inappropriate behaviour or
circumstances that mean coaching is no longer appropriate.
19. Refunds
Refund arrangements will depend on the circumstances and the package purchased.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects the client’s statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Where a coaching package has been partially used, any refund will be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account sessions already provided and any
applicable legal rights.
20. Limitation of Responsibility
Coaching is intended to provide guidance, support and practical strategies. Achieve Educational Coaching cannot guarantee specific academic, personal or professional
outcomes.
The student remains responsible for their own choices, actions and decisions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.
21. Changes to These Terms
Achieve Educational Coaching may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The current version will be made available to clients, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
22. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled in accordance with the applicable laws and courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
23. Acceptance
By booking or commencing coaching with Achieve Educational Coaching, the client confirms that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to
be bound by them.
For students under 18, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have the appropriate authority to provide consent for the coaching arrangement.
